LEAVING A LEGACY
Forget me not...
OLIVER
“I booked a Legacy Session for my senior (16-year-old) dog and I was worried that because Oliver is deaf and has health issues, we wouldn’t be able to get the best photographs – but they turned out spectacular! I’m in love with them! Heidi took all the time needed to get the images and went above and beyond to make the finished product something I will always cherish. She made the session fun and kept me from stressing out when I felt Oliver wasn’t doing the right thing. I recommend her to everyone I know.
Heidi, I have never met someone who loves their job and clients as much as you do. You made me and my pup feel like we were the only thing that mattered the whole time. Your kindness toward myself and Oliver will never be forgotten.”
– Angela, Oliver’s Mom

LEGACY PORTRAIT SESSIONS
Legacy Sessions are photography sessions held by Heidi Grace Pet Portraiture for pets that are elderly or terminally ill.
This type of session is often called end-of-life pet photography, rainbow bridge photography, or memorial pet photography.
I use the term ‘legacy’ because it symbolizes the lasting impact of unconditional love.
A legacy lives on …. ♥
LEGACY SESSION
$475
The legacy session is customized entirely around your pet’s needs and abilities. We focus on the love you feel for each other and the little details you want to remember. Some dogs are mobile and active, while others spend the session cuddling in their parent’s arms. Your pet is not required to sit, pose, or move in any specific way. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priority so these sessions are relaxed and full of gentle loving care.
Sessions include:
- Front of the line booking priority
- Pre-session planning and customization calls
- A personalized photography session on location
- A guided viewing and ordering appointment via Zoom
- Professional portrait retouching and leash removal
- $100 Artwork print credit
- Personal hand delivery of your custom artwork
*All portrait prints and products including albums, wall art, keepsakes and digital portraits are sold separately and are not included in the session fee.
Artwork starts at $475.

COCOA
“The first thing I thought of doing after Cocoa’s diagnosis was to hire a photographer to take family portraits. I specifically asked Heidi to capture our true emotions even if we started crying and she did just that. Heidi managed to address all the concerns we had and the images were exceptional! We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer to do this with us. The album is great – we look at it every day. We are so glad we had a session with Cocoa before she passed. We are extremely thankful we have these special moments captured and to be cherished in the future.”
– Candice, Cocoa’s Mom
"Our beloved, old and somewhat infirm dog Loki can’t stand for very long. He has lost his interest in toys and mostly just likes to snooze.
Heidi was able to capture his essence and get quite a variety of expressions true to my old dog.
She didn’t get just one stunning photograph, but a great many. I am so grateful!
He isn’t going to be with us much longer, and having these wonderful portraits of him is something I am always going to treasure."Evelyn & Ken, NW Calgary
When looking to book a photographer for our Legacy Session with Joey our biggest concerns were – would the artwork be good quality and would the photographer be trustworthy. I had absolutely NOTHING to fear with Heidi Grace. Her work is amazing, she was able to dog wrangle and capture my boys’ personalities. Heidi has a vision and she’ll work until she’s captured the best images. She is a true artist. When I look at my wall gallery and portrait box… my heart feels full.

Best friends live forever in the memories we keep.
let's preserve memories together
"My boys are getting quite old and I wanted some memories of them before it was too late. My one dog is not easy to photograph out of his familiar space. Heidi was SO PATIENT! I really wanted photos of my boys together.... and boy, did she get those! She captured their personalities and got incredible individual pictures too - and now I have the MOST BEAUTIFUL ALBUM you'll ever see!"
